Description
The project represents the construction of a new building for the Secondary School of Ceramics and Glass Arts in Karlovy Vary, the refurbishment of the existing building, and their connection according to the architectural design by Petr Hájek Architekti studio. The project is unique in its phased implementation and operational requirements, which include the use of technical equipment such as kilns or grinding machines, or the combination of space for educational purposes and public access.
Scope
The task of MFS DX on this project is BIM coordination. Before the start of the project, MFS DX updated the tender documentation including the requirements for the use of BIM and the requirements for processing the laser scan of the existing building, which is being refurbished as part of the project. Throughout the project, attention was primarily focused on the continuous achievement of the Client’s objectives, proper use of the BIM methodology, spatial coordination, and verification of the completeness of the required non-graphic information in the partial models, with regard to the goals of each design phase and also property management after the completion of the construction.
