The facade primarily comprises of a series of fully bespoke, factory fabricated panellised glazing elements. These elements are mounted on factory fabricated, structural pod room elements in the pod manufacturers factory. This assembly process is an evolution of previous practices on citizenM’s initial London property which also comprised of factory assembled room pods which were traditionally glazed on-site. The factory fabricated glazed room pods are delivered to site and are installed on top of each other in a structurally integrated manner. Factory fabricated natural stone feature fins, GRC feature fins and bespoke aluminium extruded fin elements, which form part of the facade contract, are site positioned onto the installed pods.

One of the most complex elements of this project is the strict tolerance control between the individual factory assembled facade elements and the factory assembled room pod elements.

This project was completed in 2015.
