Fragment is a new mixed used residential and retail scheme designed by Qarta architektura. Situated close to Prague’s city centre, with height up to 9 levels, this building provides its inhabitants large terraces due to its stepped levels. Statues by David Cerny “supporting” the building are the significant features of this project.

Building envelope of residential part of this development consists of frame structures on the north elevation and frame structures with external shading, balconies and glazed balustrades on the south elevation, cladding by metal sheets. The retail ground floor’s facade is designed to be a stick system curtain walling.

On this project, MFS provides a wide range of its facade consultancy services such as concept design, tender documents incl. drawings, thermal calculations and facade performance specification, assistance during the specialist subcontractor tender process, elaboration of 3D model of the building envelope, BIM of LOD 300 and preparation of virtual reality model, among others.
