The new 19-storey administrative building AFI City “A” designed by international studio CMC architects is situated in the east part of Prague. The building offers over 16 000 m2 office and retail space. The verticality of the building is emphasised by a combination of insulating glass units and aluminium cassettes cladding. The south facade is specific by unique design made by suspended aluminium structure and glazed canopy. The building is designed to be energy-efficient and has been awarded the BREEAM Excellent certificate.

MFS cooperated with CMC Architects on the design development of the building envelope which consists mostly of unitised system curtain walling and in the lower floors of stick system curtain walling. MFS also assisted AFI Europe with the facade specialist subcontractor tender process; MFS reviewed the specialist subcontractor’s documentation and executed manufacture inspections and site visits.
