The Crédit Mutuel project was aimed to be the first commercial timber structure (CLT) high-rise building in France and among the tallest wooden structure buildings in the world, before being halted in 2020 when the COVID crisis led to reassessed property development strategy.

MFS provided assistance to URBAN DUMEZ on this innovative project by developing the facades concept design. Main facades consist of unitized fully glazed curtain wall with innovative detailing to meet the fire rating requirements (C+D) and to accommodate substantial floor to floor differential movements. MFS also developed the curtain wall concept at podium level with stringent anti-burglary performance, as well as the curtain wall to the upper floors consisting of a double height unitised curtain wall system supported on a steel frame primary structure.
